Old Guesses at the Mystery
Forgive my ignorance, I have been looking around but can't find what I am looking for. I seem to remember a huge thread back in the SOTS 1 forums regarding the mystery of the Suul'ka, or guesses at what they were based on all the dialogue in the game from different races points of view. Is there a conclusion now to that? Obviously the answers are the Lore of SOTS 2 (and why bother looking at old guesses when we have facts now, but its more for my own curiosity and conclusion to the mystery), but is there any list of which guesses people had that were right and which were wrong? Although I thought I remembered Erinys and/or Mecron basically saying nobody got it completely right, but was anyone close? When people started going down the right train of thought, they got very mum?
Re: Old Guesses at the Mystery
If you look at the tags under peoples names on the right you will see either Casandra or DoomBringer which are tiles for people who got it right related to it or guess very close.
Re: Old Guesses at the Mystery
We have forum achievements now? What's your achievement score? Haha... I am guessing they are just like little forum sub-titles? Thanks, I will keep eye out for them.
Re: Old Guesses at the Mystery
I just happened across this thread the other day. It's here, in the Fiction forum.
Download my zombie outbreak mini-sim: unfortunately, it's not Fort Zombie.

Re: Old Guesses at the Mystery
I got my title from my guess here; although I would never have come up with it if not for the old AD discussion thread, specifically whoever it was that observed that a Liir Elder's head would fit well inside of one...
Re: Old Guesses at the Mystery
Thanks all.
I also remember something like this: Someone was talking about, I think, the Liir's engine tech. And getting it from ancient sources. And Mecron said something like those ancient ones would be "surprised" at how the Liir changed the tech... or something like "they did WHAT with it?"

Yeah, but I think that most of the guesses were that it used to be a weapon of some sort. I know that mine was, at least.

Re: Old Guesses at the Mystery
I wrote an entire post that got it right. How does nobody remember that?

Yep. Cassandra - who always got it right, while no one listened.

Re: Old Guesses at the Mystery
The pieces didn't seem to fit right. Damn you less than completely honest Liir!

Re: Old Guesses at the Mystery
To be fair, they weren't terribly practiced at the whole 'flapping meat around to make sounds' thing. Maybe someone did explain the whole thing and the universal translator took one look at the terribly complicated word trying to express multiple levels of self sacrifice, unimaginable power and living but not us, and concluded 'bio-weapon'.

Re: Old Guesses at the Mystery
There is no universal translator. There is only Maldonado, who will have some 'splainin' to do when Sol Force finds out that his early intelligence was less than perfectly accurate.
