Probably even?

A boarding ship carries a contingent of marines equipped for ship-ship combat, however they have to board the ship, and fight off the ships combined marine contingent + crew, so they may even find themselves outnumbered and in unfamiliar territory against (likely hastily) prepared defences, though better equipped and trained then the majority of their opponents..
